Why pray the scriptures over your husband?
Many times throughout the Bible, God tells us that we must ask in order to receive what He promises. As we trust Him and love His ways, our desires will align with His desires.
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Praying the scriptures for them is one way we can faithfully care for our husbands and bring them blessings.
Sometimes, however, we can get discouraged. We don't see the things we expected.
That is why I found this passage from Mark surprising and encouraging to continue in faithful prayer.
Mark 9:14-29 says:“When they returned to where the other disciples were, they saw a large crowd surrounding them, and some scribes were arguing with them. When the crowd saw Jesus, they were terrified and ran to greet him. all this discussion? asked Jesus. One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son to heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won't let him speak. And every time that spirit grabs him, he violently throws him to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and stiffens. So I asked his disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn't.
Jesus rebuked the disciples, asking why they couldn't help this child. The boy's father asked Jesus if he believed he could save his son.
Continuing in verse 23, “"What do you mean 'if I can'?" asked Jesus. "Everything is possible if a person believes." The father instantly yelled:"I believe, but help me overcome my disbelief!" When Jesus saw the crowd of onlookers increase, he rebuked the evil spirit. !”” and the spirit left the child.
In verse 28, the disciples asked Jesus"Why couldn't we drive out that evil spirit?"and Jesus answered:“This guy can only be expelled through prayer.”
I don't know about you, but for me, this realization of the power of prayer is HUGE.
The fact that the disciples couldn't do something because they hadn't prayed AND that the prayer was as simple as “I believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”? Mind BLOWN.
God designed prayer to enrich our spiritual lives and bring us into closer fellowship with Him. Prayer also unites husband and wife because as we both grow closer to God, we grow closer to each other.
If you haven't already, praying for your husband is very important!

How to pray for your husband
When you pray for your husband, pray with a victory posture. Well, what the hell does that mean, Kenzie? I'm glad you asked!
Here's the deal. God has already made promises to your husband and invites us to participate to receive his blessings.
God promised Abraham that he would give them a land flowing with milk and honey. Years later, he ordered Joshua to go to the land he was giving them.
God promised to give them victory over their enemies. God had already given everyone the promised land.
God said that wherever they set foot would be their land, no more, no less. This means that they can only enjoy to the extent that they set foot in it.
Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately for them, not so much.
The Israelites lived in only a small part of Canaan (rather than all of it) because they were afraid to fight the enemies before them. The very enemies that God said he would defeat!
Haymilesof God's promises throughout the Bible. Many of them are given only to us, the King's daughters.
God wants to give us these blessings because He is a good God who loves to give good gifts. But most of God's promises are not directly in our hands: they are within our reach.
God wants us to share in the experience of His blessings. (Priscilla Shirer, The Kneeling Battle BeginsSermon)
The promises of the Bible are yours, just ask and receive (Mateo 7:7-8).
