Married couples have almost unlimited exposure to life's ups and downs, and there are times when our own husbands need encouragement not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
Sometimes I feel like I struggle to find the right words when I need to encourage my husband. I often use the same words of encouragement and they seem like overkill. Isn't it humbling to know that we are all made in God's image, even when we fail or fail? As I sit and think about it, this is the ultimate love letter to us. God's love is deep and wide.
If you've ever been through a tough time in life, there's nothing like someone who tries to pick you up, doesn't keep a log of mistakes (a big problem for me), and sets an example of trusting God's Word to help gain strength. .
I consider it my marital duty to try to lift and encourage my spouse rather than constantly nagging and tearing him down. I'm not always good at this.
Over the last few months we have gone through many life adjustments selling our house, buying a new home and starting a new business all in less than 4 weeks. When I sit back and look at our situation at 30,000 feet, it seems a little crazy to me.Add in my severe morning sickness with baby #4 and take care of three kids under the age of four.
Some seasons are easier than others, but I know that daily we try to seek God's plan and let go of other distractions. Not always easy. Sometimes I don't do it with a grateful heart.
There are times when I allow my way to get in my way and forget to support my husband the way the Bible tells us to. I wish I could say I've always been an excellent wife, but I know that's not the case.
I FELT LIKE A MARTYR FOR TIMES...
I mean well, yes. But sometimes I value my own image and actions about my husband. I hate to admit it, but I found myself:
- Compare my daily actions and tasks with his
- I appreciate my quiet time and my cooldown over his
- You feel like a martyr when you have time alone or you go on a trip and I'm home
- Forgetting the Fruit of the Spirit and What It Means for Our Marriage
- Not being as supportive as I should be with my husband when he needs it most
Does anyone identify with this?
We have three children under the age of four and a fourth is on the way. Yes, it was planned. But there are times when we both just need encouragement, time alone, time together to focus on our marriage, and habits of daily immersion in God's Word. It doesn't always happen.
I AM A GOOD WIFE IN MANY WAYS AND YOU ARE TOO
If you're reading this blog post, you can probably relate to me in many ways. You work hard for your family, love your children and husband very much, and sacrifice many personal things for them.
Although we are not perfect, we look for the right things every day and the best part is that we have a good husband who is also a best friend. A partner. A spouse. An encourager.
In perfect unity, on our wedding day, I pledged to support, love, protect and care for my husband. I know I can't do this alone and I need my Savior Jesus Christ, friends, family and mentors in my life to help me stay the course.
Life gets messy. Life gets busy. However, I know that love covers so many stains, frustrations and difficulties because I chose it and I still choose it.
The best way to be encouraged is to simply immerse yourself in God's Word. Let's go!
ENCOURAGING WRITING TO HUSBAND

Hope this helps someone become an encourager for someone they love! May the peace of God be with you!
